Wizeman Named CEO At HCCU

BILLINGS, Mont.-Montana Health FCU has named Dennis Wizeman, the director of indirect lending for Helena Community CU the past 12 years, as president and CEO of the $20-million credit union. Before joining the credit union movement, he worked for Associates Financial, US Bank and the First Chicago Trust Co.

Sculpture Dedicated To Simmons

PORTSMOUTH, N.H.-Service CU dedicated its outdoor Globe sculpture to CEO Gordon Simmons during grand opening ceremonies of its new corporate center. Simmons was recognized for overseeing growth to more than $2 billion in assets from $280 million. The dedication plaque reads "Gordon Simmons whose global perspective and visionary leadership has contributed so greatly to Service Credit Union's growth and success."

NCUA Ranked Highly As Workplace

ALEXANDRIA, Va.-NCUA showed the strongest growth in employee satisfaction among medium-sized federal agencies in the annual Best Places to Work in the Federal Government rankings released today by the Partnership for Public Service. St. Mary's Recognized By SBA

MANCHESTER, N.H.-St. Mary's Bank, the nation's first credit union, has been recognized by the U.S. Small Business Administration with a 2012 Outstanding Achievement Award for its accomplishments in small business lending, including the origination of the most SBA loans by any credit union in New England.

OnPoint On 'Admired' List

PORTLAND, Ore.-OnPoint Community Credit Union has been recognized by the Portland Business Journal as number three on the state's "Most Admired Companies" list in the financial services category. The list, compiled through results from a survey conducted among CEO's across Oregon, evaluated companies on innovation, branding and marketing, quality of management, community involvement and quality of products and services.

Scholarships Named After Morrow

DES MOINES, Iowa-The Iowa Credit Union Foundation (ICUF) has renamed its Family Involvement Board Scholarship program as the Warren A. Morrow Scholarship program, which offers two different programs. The name change was made to honor the contributions of Morrow, the former president of Coopera Consulting who died in early 2012.

A.M. Best Renews Strength Ratings

MADISON, Wis.-A.M. Best Co. has affirmed the financial strength rating of CMFG Life Insurance Company at "A" (Excellent). A.M. Best also affirmed the "A" (Excellent) rating for CMFG Life's property/casualty subsidiaries: CUMIS Insurance Society, Inc., CUMIS Specialty Insurance Company, Inc., Producers Agriculture Insurance Company and Producers Lloyds Insurance Company. The outlook for all ratings is stable.

NAFCU Adds 2 New Analyses

ARLINGTON, Va.-NAFCU has introduced two new sections, the Regional Outlook and a Forecast, to its monthly Economic & CU Monitor. Garcia Named CEO At NCCU

MORTON GROVE, Ill.-The $60-million Northwest Community CU has hired Jose Garcia as its new president and CEO. Garcia was previously CFO with Advance Financial FCU in Schererville, Inc., and has 16 years' experience in credit unions.

The credit union said Garcia will initially focus on improving lending and member communications and service.

NCUA's OSCUI Updates Website

ALEXANDRIA, Va.-NCUA's Office of Small Credit Union Initiatives has updated its website to include training schedules, consulting nomination forms, grant and loan applications, an archive of its FOCUS e-newsletter, a video and webinar library, and other resources.
