LAKEWOOD, Colo. — CU Service Network, here, has teamed up with fellow CUSO CUProdigy to offer a core software platform, following CUProdigy's rewrite of its core product.
CUSN provides consulting and product implementation support to credit unions in the Rocky Mountain and Great Plain states. CUProdigy provides a comprehensive core system, which it recently updated. CUSN had been looking for a core service provider to partner with for some time.
"Selecting CUProdigy was the result of an extensive core processor search. Working with several of our client credit unions, CUSN invested resources to assist with evaluating cores. We wanted to find a solution that was high value at a reasonable cost" said Daniel Burk, SVP of business development for CUSN in a statement. "But it wasn't just about cost. Our vision was to also find a partner who would collaborate well, create opportunities for CUs, and potentially partner with CUSN as it launches new collaboration services."
For its part, CUProdigy was looking for a way to deepen and expand its relationship with credit unions, as its approach to providing a core platform is as much about relationship building as it is about processing, said Craig Peterson, director of client services for CUProdigy.
