MONETT, Mo. — Jack Henry & Associates, Inc., provider of technology solutions and payment processing services primarily for the financial services industry, said Tampa, Fla.-based Suncoast Credit Union selected Episys for its core processing.
Episys is provided by Jack Henry's Symitar division. Symitar counts more than 800 credit unions as clients.
The $6.3 billion Suncoast CU said it has grown "substantially" and wanted to maximize its core's capacity to serve its more than 641,000 members across 17 counties. In addition, Suncoast develops many services internally, such as its online banking application. It needed a "customizable and easily-integrated" system for its unique technologies, and therefore chose Episys.
Suncoast is the largest credit union in the state of Florida, the ninth-largest in the United States based on membership and the 14th-largest in the U.S. based on assets. Chartered in 1934 as Hillsborough County Teachers Credit Union, Suncoast Credit Union currently operates 57 full-service branches and serves more than 641,000 members in the following Florida counties: Charlotte, Citrus, Collier, DeSoto, Glades, Hardee, Hendry, Hernando, Highlands, Hillsborough, Lee, Levy, Manatee, Pasco, Pinellas, Sarasota and Sumter.
