MADISON, Wis. – Summit CU has chosen four local families to compete for a $10,000 prize in its fourth annual Project Money savings contest.
This year’s participants were chosen from 150 applicants, each with varying backgrounds and financial situations.
This year’s Project Money teams include newlyweds working to build a strong financial foundation before they start a family, a family with two teenagers hoping to go to college, a family adjusting to the added costs of a new baby, and an engaged couple planning for the December wedding.
Each of the teams will work with a Summit financial coach between now and December. Their ongoing progress will be featured at the credit union’s website, which will include tips and advice from the financial coaches so that people following the contest can relate and apply them to their financial goals.
Local TV station WMTV, Channel 15, will also be following the contest on its newscasts.
