WOODBURY, Minn. – Postal CU announced this morning that Brian Sherrick, its chief operating officer who joined the credit union as a college intern in 1984, has taken over as president and CEO of the $540 million credit union.

Sherrick succeeds Russ Plunkett, who worked at the credit union for 31 years, the last 20 as CEO.

Sherrick has been serving as executive vice president operations/lending and also as chairman of the PCU Community Foundation. He sits on the board of the Minnesota CU Foundation.

During his 20 years at the helm of Postal CU, Plunkett has built the credit union to a full-service financial institution, offering electronic banking and bill pay, credit and debit cards, mortgage and business loans. When he took over the credit union Postal had $110 million in assets.
