WESTERVILLE, Ohio – Education First CU has named Tara Neiswonger, its chief financial officer the past 12 years, as the new president and CEO of the $87-million credit union.

She is succeeding Richard Maslyk, who retired as president and CEO at the end of June after serving the credit union for the past 15 years.

Neiswonger has worked in the financial service industry for the past 18 years. She worked at Society National Bank for three years before joining the credit union movement in 1994 as an accountant at BMI FCU. She went to Education First CU, then known as MidState Educators CU, in 1998 as a senior accountant and was promoted in 2002 to CFO.
