COLUMBUS, Ohio – The Ohio Credit Union League launched a newly redesigned website yesterday that will make it easier for member credit unions to navigate, find information and do more online functions.

“It (the website) will be the centerpiece of a new Web delivery strategy for us that will be more aggressive in how we interact with our member credit unions and serve them,” OCUL President Paul Mercer said. “A very important part of our business and value proposition is collecting, organizing and disseminating and putting information to use. So we are excited to have a more efficient means of doing that, which keeps up with the appetite of our credit union leaders have for using technology, sharing information, sharing best practices,” Mercer said.

“We really spent special attention to thinking about how the typical CU person in the office, pressed for time, would look for information, what answers might they be looking for, what tools might they be looking for and how do we make that as easy to find as possible,” she said.

Some of the site’s new functionalities include the ability for members to register for events online, make financial contribution to OCUL’s foundation or political action committee and expanded social or networking capabilities that will enable member credit unions to contact and interact with other members.
