JOLIET, Ill. — Some members of $194 million NuMark Credit Union received cash back on Dec. 31.
The CU said members with a qualifying consumer loan received a 5% Annual Loan Interest Rebate, and those with personal checking accounts received a 5% Checking Bonus for the month of December.
In 2014, NuMark CU — which is celebrating its 60th anniversary — returned nearly $250,000 to its members. In recent years, the credit union said it has given back more than $1 million in bonus dividends and loan rebates.
"It pays to be a member of NuMark Credit Union because when the credit union does well, we share our success by returning some of the profits to our members," Ann Dubie, president and CEO, said in a statement. "While other financial institutions are charging more for their checking accounts, higher rates on loans and raising fees, it is a pleasure to give cash back. We hope our members enjoy their Special Checking Bonus and Loan Rebate. We truly appreciate their business."
NuMark serves those who live or work in Will, Kendall, Grundy, Kane, and parts of Cook, DuPage and Kankakee counties. It has four offices in Joliet, Crest Hill, Countryside and Tinley Park.
