RALEIGH, N.C. – State Employees’ CU plans to start moving some of its employees into its new, 12-story tower office in downtown Raleigh later this month.

The $25-billion credit union plans to relocate the first of approximately 80 employees from other SECU offices to the $45-million building overlooking the North Carolina Museum of Natural Science’s new Nature Research Center. The relocation of employees from the credit union’s financial advisory services group will continue through early September. The SECU building also will have a credit union branch and a six-story parking deck.

The office tower will be the final piece of the two-block complex that includes the Nature Research Center, the Green Square Parking Deck, and the new headquarters building for the North Carolina Department of Environment and Natural Resources, across from the Legislative Building.

SECU employees will occupy about half of the 240,000-square-foot building, and the remaining 76,000 square feet will be available for lease.
