RALEIGH, N.C. – State Employees’ CU has signed with Wincor Nixdorf to provide a variety of multi-vendor software solutions to manage its 1,100 cash machines, the biggest fleet of any credit union.

SECU said it choose Wincor Nixdorf’s “ProClassic” multi-vendor software suite for its broad range of functionality, scalability and ease of implementation.

Wincor Nixdorf said its ProClassic suite consists of multiple solutions, including terminal, monitoring and security software that will enable SECU to more effectively manage its self-service channel. According to the company, one significant change SECU’s membership will enjoy is the ability to deposit cash and checks without using an envelope. In addition, credit union members will see colorful, customized on-screen messages and an e-mail receipt option should they choose not to receive a printed receipt.

“SECU was looking to expand functionality and enhance the ATM delivery channel for our members. With increasing fraud and operational costs, we also needed a software platform that would allow us to increase security, manage the complexities of changing regulations with ease and provide our members and staff with the tools they need to be as efficient as possible,” said Leanne Phelps, senior vice president, card services for the $25-billion credit union.
