NIAGARA FALLS, N.Y. – Niagara’s Choice FCU has agreed to merge into it Niagara County’s FCU to create a $125-million credit union serving 23,000 members.

The deal will give $80-million Niagara’s Choice FCU two additional branches, one in Niagara Falls and one in Lockport, giving it five total branches.

Nancy Kasprzak-Whitmore, CEO of $50-million Niagara County’s FCU, said Niagara’s Choice will promote the merger with what she calls a “great tagline”: “Niagara County’s FCU is now Niagara’s Choice!”

The combination will be effective Dec. 1.
