NIAGARA FALLS, N.Y. - Niagara's Choice FCU has acquired Niagara County's FCU to create a $125-million credit union serving 23,000 members.

The deal gives $80-million Niagara's Choice FCU two additional branches, for a total of five.

Nancy Kasprzak-Whitmore, former top executive at Niagara County's FCU, is now executive vice president of the combined credit union. All 18 staff members who used to work at Niagara County's FCU have been retained.

The combined credit union is now the second-largest credit union in Niagara County, following Cornerstone Community FCU, and the fifth-largest credit union in the region.
