VIENNA, Va. – Navy FCU plans to open a new branch in Savannah, Ga., a mile away from Hunter Army Airfield, to serve 8,000 members in the area.

The grand opening of the credit union’s 224th branch, located in Chatham Plaza Shopping Center, will include exclusive offers on credit cards and certificates, military discounts on auto loans, and an incentive for opening an Active Duty Checking account.

Separately, the $50-billion credit union has paid $3.7 million to buy 3.8 acres of land in Annapolis where it will build its fourth branch by the U.S. Naval Academy. The property will be developed into a two-story, 8,000- to 10,000-square-foot retail branch with approximately six drive-thru lanes to accommodate members.
