WOODBURY, Minn. – Postal CU has begun offering Visa Reloadable Prepaid Cards as alternatives to it Visa Debit Card, without the need for a checking account or credit check.

The prepaid cards can be used to make purchases anywhere Visa Debit Cards are accepted, including stores, online or by phone. Cardholders can have their paycheck automatically deposited on payday, giving them immediate access to their money for groceries or meals, to pay bills or to get cash at more than a million ATMs around the world.

Unlike a credit card, there are no interest charges and unlike a checking account there is no required minimum balance, plus the cardholder cannot accrue debt. In addition, if the card is lost or stolen, the money is safe, and the card can easily be replaced.
