PORTLAND, Maine — Synergent Technology Services has signed Manchester, N.H.-based Members First Credit Union to use the Episys Core Processing Solution by Symitar.
The $157 million CU is scheduled to convert its data processing on Oct. 1, 2016.
Synergent, a subsidiary of the Maine Credit Union League, said Members First CU is the third credit union it has signed to a core processing agreement in the first three months of this year.
In addition to core processing, Members First CU said it will implement a number of Synergent solutions to better serve its members, including ATM/debit card services, direct marketing services, Opening Act and statement processing.
Bruce Leighton, president and CEO of Members First CU, said Synergent's "experience, focus and wide range of solutions" were the primary reasons the credit union selected Synergent.
"We especially liked the ability to work with one partner that has a clear understanding of our goals and is well-positioned to help us achieve those goals and initiatives," Leighton said in a statement. "From our extensive research and due diligence, Synergent is that partner. We are excited to begin this positive relationship for our credit union and our members."
John Murphy, president and CEO of Synergent, said Members First CU's commitment to serving its members, "aligns with the core values of Synergent and our focus on serving our member credit unions. We appreciate that Members First CU has selected Synergent as its partner as it moves forward into the future, not just for core processing but for a variety of our products and services."
