FARMINGTON HILLS, Mich. — Member Driven Technologies has completed its first two conversions of 2015, as one CU in Michigan and another in Montana converted their core processing to Symitar Episys via the CUSO's solution.
Extra Credit Union, a $193 million CU in Warren, Mich., and $89 million Sky Federal Credit Union of Livingston, Mont., each said the process went well.
Deidra Williams, Extra CU's president and CEO said the conversion was "very successful and easy."
"The credit union worked very hard throughout 2014 to be prepared for our conversion over year-end," Williams said in a statement. "With the direction and support of MDT, the conversion project was very detailed, organized, and timely. During the actual conversion, it was the support of the entire MDT team that made the process very smooth and on target. It was a pleasure working with the MDT team and Extra Credit Union looks forward to our partnership."
Annamarie DeYoung, Sky FCU's president and CEO, said: "I feel the conversion was a huge success and the MDT Team did an exceptional job. I can verify that everything MDT discussed regarding our conversion, from the introductory meetings, came to fruition. The timeline that was mapped out, the expectations that were expressed from the initial meetings with regards to surveys, training, SMEs, testing and actual conversion, and the importance of each, happened according to the plan, so there were really no surprises."
Extra CU was founded in 1954 by a group of educators with $856 in assets. The CU now serves more than 19,000 members via two full-service offices in Warren and Sterling Heights, Mich.
Sky FCU serves more than 8,400 members from three offices in Livingston, Belgrade and Bozeman, Mont. Founded in 1935, Sky FCU serves anyone who lives, works, or worships in Montana's Park, Gallatin or Sweet Grass counties via a community charter.
Member Driven Technologies is a CUSO started by a group of Michigan credit unions in early 2003. It now has five offices in the U.S. — three in Michigan and two in Montana — and serves 151 clients in 27 states. MDT performs processing for more than 1.8 million members, with combined assets of $17.5 billion.
