AUGUSTA, Maine – Due to what is anticipated to be a busy election season of commercials, the Maine CU League said its Statewide Awareness Campaign has increased advertising this summer in a variety of ways.

Beginning on July 30, the Campaign returns to television for August and September. On-air TV spots will appear in various programs including during the highly watched Summer Olympics, which are airing on WCSH 6, WLBZ 2 and NBC Cable Channels.

In addition to a strong television run, the MCUL said the Campaign is involved with sponsorships that have a wide and varied audience, such as the upcoming KahBang Festival in Bangor and the Maine Lobster Festival in Rockland. In addition, the Awareness Campaign has added mobile advertising (ads for apps, iPhone and Droid).

Besides a strong TV and mobile presence, a significant radio campaign, sponsored by Synergent, also is being launched on July 30.  The radio spots will highlight ATM and shared branching availability and the overall “convenience of credit unions” message.
