KANSAS CITY -- The Kansas City CU will open two new branches later in the summer, giving the $102 million credit union five locations overall.

The branches will be in Independence and in the Kansas City Police Department’s Special Operations building just north of Three Trails Crossing, between U.S. Highway 71 and Interstate 435.

The credit union was founded in 1934 and currently has about 8,900 members.
