PANAMA CITY, Fla. – Innovations FCU teamed with the Panama City Beach Chamber of Commerce to teach the freshmen at Arnold High School financial literacy through a real-life simulation.
In this Mad City Money world, the students are faced with different financial situations and different occupations ranging from personal trainer to lawyer.
The students have to make a budget to meet their financial needs, which can include loans to pay, medical insurance, and even child care. Those bills are on top of living costs, including housing, transportation and food.
Overall, it's an experience that highlights the importance of budgeting.
The students who participated in Tuesday's project are part of a computer business course at Arnold.
