'Multi-Purpose' Member Advisors Now In Place
ST. PAUL, Minn.-Affinity Plus FCU has rolled out a new branch format that it said transforms member service reps into "multi-purpose member advisors."
Member advisors are not restricted based on limitations with traditional banking roles of teller and loan officer, Affinity Plus said. Instead, member advisors view each interaction with members not as a simple transaction. It may start as a simple account transaction, and lead to a consumer or home loan, or discussions about budgeting and goal setting, according to APFCU.
Camelot? Sort Of, As HQ Opens On Hotel Site
TULSA, Okla.-Oklahoma Central CU celebrated its new headquarters and branch at the former site of the historic Camelot Hotel, which was torn down nearly five years ago. The new facility on the northwest corner of 51st Street and Peoria Ave. will have banking services on the first floor and the second and third floors of the 22,000-square-foot building will house administrative and executive offices for the $470-million credit union. Oklahoma Central's current headquarters on E. 41st St. will continue to operate as the credit union's flagship branch.
The nearly six-acre lot was home to the historic Camelot Hotel, built in the mid-1960s.
