PORTLAND, Ore. – A woman who drove the getaway car in several credit union and store robberies yesterday pleaded guilty to interference with commerce by robbery and conspiracy to commit bank robbery.

Maria Mattson told authorities she drove Paul Sans to and from a number of banks and credit unions he robbed, including University CU in Portland, TruChoice CU in Portland, Evergreen CU in Windham and Auburn Savings Bank in Lewiston.

Sans earlier this week pleaded not guilty to four counts of bank robbery, interference with commerce by robbery and conspiracy to commit bank robbery.

Mattson also drove the getaway car after Sans robbed a Cumberland Farms convenience store in Portland in January.
