TAMPA, Fla. – Fast-growing Grow Financial FCU said this morning it plans to open three branches in South Carolina this year and next and as many as 15 branches in the future in the Palmetto State, where it sees a fertile market.

After targeting the city of Columbia in such towns as Harbison, Forest Acres and Sandhill, the $1.8 billion credit union plans to further expand into Greenville and Charleston. “We are excited to expand our membership into South Carolina, and offer our products and services to an entirely new group of members”, said Jason Moss, senior vice president of delivery channels for the one-time MacDill Air Force Base employees credit union.  “We want to be present to serve not only individual members, but also businesses, while helping the state be proactive in their business development growth objectives.”

The look and feel of the new Grow Financial branches that will be opening in Columbia will feature an innovative and refreshing alternative to traditional bank lobby designs, a contemporary color scheme, and unique interactive technology.

In addition to the new branches opening in South Carolina, Grow Financial, which operates 19 branches in Florida, is also opening its first branch in Lakeland, Florida this March, with another branch set to open in Wesley Chapel, Florida later this year.
