FORT WAYNE, Ind. – Three gunmen forced their way into a ProFed FCU branch Thursday morning, battered and bound the employees, and shot off their weapons inside, before escaping with an undetermined amount of cash.

The robbers ambushed an employee arriving to work around 8 am, forced her inside at gunpoint, then attacked her and two other employees, binding them at the hands and ankles, police said.

A member was at the drive-up window and called 911 immediately, describing the gunmen and where they were headed.

None of the employees required medical attention. However, the robbers fired their weapons inside the credit union before fleeing,

Police say all three suspects fled on foot in the same direction, and remain at-large.
