Credit union core processor Corelation, Inc., said it has converted $3.7 billion Desert Schools Federal Credit Union to Corelation's KeyStone core processing system.
The San Diego-based company said the Sept. 8 conversion was one of the industry's largest core conversions of 2015. Desert Schools FCU, Phoenix, is Corelation's largest client. The CU and the company signed a core processing system partnership more than two years ago.
According to Ron Amstutz, Desert Schools FCU's executive vice president, Corelation's KeyStone real-time system will "vastly enhance the efficiency" of the credit union's operations and member service, including reducing the account-opening process from 45 minutes to five minutes, debit card swipe for automatic account retrieval, emailing transaction receipts for the CU's goal of moving toward paperless, and more online and mobile banking projects.
Desert Schools serves more than 300,000 members through 47 retail locations, as well as online and mobile banking solutions.
