MEMPHIS, Tenn. – Share One, the CUSO that provides the NewSolutions core processing system to dozens of small credit unions, said this afternoon that Daryl Tanner is retiring as its CEO at year-end.
Tanner, who served as president of four different credit unions for 27 years before coming toShare One, will be succeeded by Teri Van Frank, Share One’s current chief operating officer and senior vice president.
During his credit union career Tanner is recognized with implementing one of the first credit union share draft programs in 1972, the first credit union owned ATM, and for mentoring many current CEO’s and professionals. While serving as CEO of Premier America FCU, Tanner was involved in the development of the CuStar credit union system. While serving as CEO of Meriwest CU, he sponsored the development with IBM of the first large-scale client/server data processing system for credit unions in the U.S., known as CUBE.
“I found that working in and with credit unions gave me a great deal of job satisfaction and pride,” said Tanner. “It is an industry where you can be proud of what you do and go home at night knowing you have made someone’s life a little better for them each day.”
