Call for entries: 'A Day in the Life of Credit Unions' returns for 2019
Get out your camera, it’s finally here.
For the 22nd consecutive year, Credit Union Journal is preparing its popular “A Day in the Life of Credit Unions” project, an annual photo essay that includes snapshots from CUs around the globe documenting the credit union difference in action.
You can use a traditional film camera, a digital camera or your smartphone, but whatever you use, you’ve only got one day to do it. On Monday, Sept. 30, credit union professionals worldwide are invited to take photos of a day in the life of their credit union – everything from opening up the shop in the morning to member service, lunch breaks, end-of-day clean-up efforts, after-hours processes and more. If you can think of it and it happens during an average day at your credit union, we want to see it.
All photos must be taken on Sept. 30 and must be sent in by 11:59 P.M. ET on Monday, Oct. 14. Please send high-resolution photos to email@example.com with the subject line “A Day in the Life 2019.” Please also be sure to include basic information for the photo caption, including:
- Your credit union’s name
- Where your CU is headquartered
- Where the photo was taken
- A brief explanation of what the photo depicts
- Names and titles of those pictured
We’ll select some of the best snapshots to be included in a special “Day in the Life of Credit Unions” slideshow that will be featured on CUJournal.com on Oct. 17 in celebration of International Credit Union Day 2019.
The Day in the Life of Credit Unions project was conceived to highlight credit unions and all of the ways they help their members, so even though many credit unions will have all kinds of special events happening in their branches on ICU Day, the real "magic" is in the credit union difference, which happens every single day.
