LOUISVILLE, Ky. – A man and his wife plan to plead guilty to robbing seven area credit unions and banks in 2011, according to police.

Jason Fox, known as the “Bad Hair Bandit” because of a series of wigs he wore during the heists, and his wife, Tasha Fox, have reached a plea deal with authorities.

The two are charged with robbing Y-12 FCU in Jacksboro, Tenn., and L&N FCU in Williamsburg, Ky. on Dec. 1, 2011. Police got a break when it was determined the getaway vehicle was a 2004 black Suzuki Forenza with a missing gas cap. Police traced the vehicle to Tasha Fox through a traffic citation she received in 2010.

A family member confirmed to police that Jason Fox owned the vehicle and a notice was sent out to area law enforcement to be on the lookout for the vehicle.
