FLOWOOD, Miss.—Statewide FCU CEO announced that Paul Armstrong will pass the reins of the $100.9 million institution to Casey Bacon.

Armstrong has led Statewide for 16 years and will retire. Bacon will take over as CEO on Feb. 2.

"Leading Statewide for these past 16 years has been the highlight of my 40-year credit union career," Armstrong said in a statement. "We've continued the legacy of member service put in place by the founders of Statewide and have strived to be on the cutting edge of new products and services for our member-owners.

Bacon comes to the 15,000-member CU from Government Employees FCU, Austin, Texas, where he served as chief information officer.
