DALLAS – John McCormack, an eyewitness to the attack on Pearl Harbor and a founding member of Texans CU, died last Friday at 95 of natural causes at his home here.

McCormack entered Navy Supply Corps in June 1941and was assigned to the Naval Air Station at Pearl Harbor in November of that year, the month before the Japanese attack that spurred America’s entry into World War Two.

After leaving the military he joined Texas Instruments in 1953 and was one of 11 employees who contributed $5 to found Texas Instruments’ credit union, now known as Texans CU.
