Kinecta goes all in for holiday cheer
Kinecta Federal Credit Union marked the holiday season with a variety of activities to give back to the local community by supporting area nonprofit partners with volunteer activities, fundraising, charitable donations and more.
Pelican State CU donated more than $3,000 to help provide school supplies for 11 teachers in each of its branch parishes as part of its annual Classroom Bulletin Board contest. Patelco helps feed the hungry
Patelco Credit Union donated $61,000 to food banks across Northern California to help needy communities during the holiday season. The credit union also handed out nearly 400 gift cards to members facing challenging times during the season.
New Hampshire FCU took part in “Santa for Seniors,” collecting donations to benefit seniors during the holiday season.
Honor Flight donation
Northeast CU in Portsmouth, N.H. donated nearly $7,900 to Honor Flight New England to help send World War II and Korean War veterans to Washington to visit national memorials at no cost.
Toys for Tots at Peach State
Peach State FCU in Lawrenceville, Ga. collected toys for “Toys for Tots,” an annual tradition at the credit union’s branch locations and headquarters.
Meritrust supports local charities
Wichita, Kan.-based Meritrust CU made holiday donations to a variety of local organizations during the holiday season, including Heartspring, which received $1,000 in honor of its work helping special needs children.
Air Force FCU in San Antonio donated $3,500 to Children’s Hospital of San Antonio as part of the Credit Unions for Kids fundraising program. AFFCU also donated toys to be given as gifts to kids at the hospital during the holiday season.
Hanscom does Toys for Tots
Hanscom FCU collected gifts for “Toys for Tots” at each of its branch locations throughout the holiday season.
First Capital cares
York, Penn.-based First Capital FCU fulfilled holiday wishes for 25 people through a program from Bell Socialization Services. CU staff can be seen here dropping off those gifts before Christmas.
