Auburn Hills, Mich.-based Genisys Credit Union was the recipient of the Michigan Parks and Recreation Community Service Award. Michigan Recreation and Park Association held an award ceremony in recognition of the winners.

First Commerce Credit Union announced two of its latest essay winners for the Tallahassee, Fla.-based CU's essay contest. The recipients each earned a $1,000 scholarship.
Women helping women
Lansing, Mich.-based LAFCU put out a call for applications for its 2019 Women Helping Educate Every Lady scholarship. The essay contest boasts a $3,000 award and will accept submissions through July 31.

Employees of the Fort Washington, Pa.-based TruMark Financial Credit Union sported some jeans during a casual Friday to raise $1,000 for the nonprofit organization CONCERN.
