Sheldon Blumling is a partner in the Irvine office and a member of the firm's\r\nEmployee Benefits Practice Group. He advises clients with respect to all\r\naspects of employee benefits and executive compensation, including\r\nqualified and nonqualified retirement plans, health and other welfare\r\nbenefit plans, cafeteria plans, severance plans and equity-based\r\ncompensation plans. He also advises employers on compliance issues\r\ninvolving the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) and\r\nall types of federal and state employment taxes, and he has had extensive\r\nexperience advising clients on the employee benefits and executive\r\ncompensation aspects of mergers and acquisitions. Sheldon joined the firm in\r\nits Atlanta office in 1998, and then rejoined the firm in its Irvine office in\r\n2003 after practicing in the tax and employee benefits groups at a\r\nfull-service, international law firm for four years. While in law school,\r\nSheldon served as Managing Editor of the University of Miami Entertainment\r\nand Sports Law Review.
