Affinity FCU, Basking Ridge, N.J., said its branches served as collection points for the United Way of Northern New Jersey's "Stuff the Bus" school supply drive.

The Northeast Georgia Chapter of Credit Unions donated a portion of the proceeds raised from its 18th Annual Charity Golf Tournament to Lawrenceville Cooperative Ministries.

Robins FCU, Warner Robins, Ga., donated $1,000 to the Heart of Georgia Hospice's Camp WINGS program. In other news, the CU also donated $1,000 to Project Giving, $1,000 to the Museum of Arts and Sciences and $7,744.21 to the Children's Hospital.

Arkansas FCU, Jacksonville, Ark., donated $1,000 to the Miracle League of Arkansas to help replace baseball gloves that were stole from the organization.

Charter Oak FCU, Groton, Conn., received a plaque to recognize its support of Read to Ride.

Northern CU, Watertown, N.Y., awarded a scholarship to Heather Montgomery. In other news, the CU broke ground on a new branch in LeRay, N.Y.

Educational Employee CU, Fresno, Calif., provided the financing for the construction of three Habitat for Humanity homes.

Educational Employees CU, Fresno, Calif.; Merced School Employees FCU, Merced, Calif., and Merco CU, Merced, Calif., joined forces to help refurbish Camp Green Meadows near Yosemite National Park.

Hanscom FCU, Hanscom AFB, Mass., helped sponsor the Senior Noncommissioned Officer ceremony celebrating recent promotions at Hanscom Air Force Base. In other news, the CU also sponsored the graduation ceremony for the most recent class of the Airman Leadership School.

Hopewell FCU, Newark, Ohio, donated $1,100 to the Licking County Humane Society.

Northwest FCU, Herndon, Va., sponsored storytelling events at each of its six branches as part of the CU's summer reading program. Separately, the CU teamed up with a local Girl Scout troop to provide backpacks and school supplies to Dranesville Elementary School.

Diamond CU, Pottstown, Pa., sent a team of seven employees to volunteer for the United Way Day of Caring to help beautify Riverside Elementary School. In other news, the CU donated a variety of baby and toddler necessities and more than $770 to the Reading Health System's Women's Health Center, awarded scholarships to four local students, raised more than $73,000 for the American Cancer Society's Relay For Life and donated eight boxes of school supplies to the Pottstown Family Center.

Genisys CU, Auburn Hills, Mich., sponsored Septemberfest in Ortonville, Mich. In other news, the CU was chosen "Best of the Best Credit Union" by readers of The Clarkston News, Clarkston, Mich.

Security Service FCU, San Antonio, made a $10,000 grant to the San Antonio chapter of Rebuilding Together.

Bethpage FCU, Bethpage, N.Y., gave away a new Chevrolet as part of its "All American" summer campaign. Separately, the CU awarded a a full three-year scholarship at the Maurice A. Deane School of Law at Hofstra University to Christina Robinson.

Royal CU, St. Paul Minn., donated $6,000 to The Family Place.

United FCU, St. Joseph, Mich., broke ground on a new branch in Reno, Nev.

Yolo FCU, Woodland, Calif., won first place ($250) for its fair booth at the 2013 Yolo County Fair, then matched that amount to make a $500 donation to Zamora Elementary School. Separately, the CU announced the winners of its "Snap, Enter, Win" photo contest. The $500 first place award went to David Robertson, with $300 second place going to Eve Bessier and $100 third place going to Brian Wickstrom.

Oakland University CU, Auburn Hills, Mich., opened a new branch in Oakland Center on the Oakland University campus.

R.I.A. FCU, Bettendorf, Iowa, broke ground on its new operations center and branch.

Great Basin FCU, Reno, Nev., hosted a small business workshop for local business owners.

America First CU, Riverdale, Utah., made a donation to purchase 500 backpacks full of school supplies for Tabitha's Way.

Metro CU, Chelsea, Mass., hosted 26 executives from Brazil's Sistema de Cooperativas de Credito do Brasil.

Michigan Community CU, Jackson, Mich., awarded a $500 VISA Gift Card to Nathan Plummer, a $300 VISA Gift Card to Jennifer Schupbach and a $100 VISA Gift Card to Charidy Domack.

Kellogg Community FCU, Battle Creek, Mich., gave away t-shirts at its branch in Marshall, Mich., and then anyone spotted by a KCFCU staffer at the Calhoun County Fair wearing the shirt were given up to $20 in cash.

Ent FCU, Colorado Springs, Colo., awarded a new Toyota Camry Hybrid to one of its members as part of the CU's "Swipe Your Way To A New Car" debit card promotion.
